We’re so excited to introduce ourselves — we’re Sabeen and family, and we are honored to be the new owners of The Little Play Café.

From the very first time we stepped through these doors, we felt what makes this place so special. It’s in the giggles echoing through the play space, the quiet relief on a parent’s face over a warm cup of coffee, and the friendships that form between families who’ve found a second home here. This café was built with so much love, and that love is exactly what we intend to carry forward.

We want to take a moment to thank the founding family who built this beautiful space from the ground up. Their vision — a place where Montessori-inspired play meets genuine community — created something truly special in Rutherford, and we’re deeply grateful to be entrusted with its next chapter.

What’s staying: The heart of this place. The Montessori-inspired play areas your little ones already love. Our commitment to open-ended, child-led play that helps kids build independence, confidence, and curiosity. The cozy café corner where you can sit back with a coffee while your child explores. And of course — the same warm welcome every time you walk through our door.

What’s new: Fresh energy, new ideas, and a renewed commitment to making this the best possible home for play in Rutherford. We’ll be listening closely to what your families need, introducing new touches along the way, and pouring our hearts into every detail — big and small.

This isn’t the end of a story — it’s simply a new chapter in one that’s already so full of magic. We can’t wait to get to know each of you and your little ones, and to keep building this community together.
